Very nice ring, but it is not "Alexandrite eye" ( or Cat's Eye). Most Alexandrites from USSR or to be more specific, most Alexandrites sold in Russia during last centiry are actually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change. So, you will need to get a certificate for this stone from the respectful laboratory, such as America Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL) or Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and if it's a natural Russian alexandrite, this ring will worth a fortune.
While it look like diamond prices have been soft, prices for tourmaline, alexandrite, color change garnets, spinel, fine sapphires have more than doubled.
